DROP-OFF SHREDDING SERVICE

⚠️ Drop-Off Policy Update (09/26/2025):

To maintain safety and efficiency, customers wishing to drop off more than 12 standard records storage boxes (10” x 12” x 15” – the approximate size of a copy paper box) must schedule an appointment at least one week in advance. Without an appointment, we reserve the right to decline the delivery.

We are also placing a maximum limit of 25 standard boxes for any single drop-off. Customers with more than 25 boxes will need to arrange an on-site service through our office.

We truly appreciate your cooperation, understanding, and continued business as we work to provide secure, safe, and efficient drop-off services for everyone.

Whether you have a lot or a little, you can drop-off your materials at our office for secure shredding that same day!

WORKING FROM HOME OR JUST HAVE A SMALL AMOUNT TO SHRED?

​Maybe you're working from home, or have small amounts to be shredded.  We offer the ability for you to drop-off your materials at our secure office in Westfield to be shredded later that day.  If you have small amounts of confidential materials to be shredded, including computer hard drives, consider bringing it to us to be securely shredded.

THE PROCESS​ IS SIMPLE

  1. Bring your items to our office in any container (e.g. bags, boxes, etc.)

  2. We weigh your items

  3. We secure your paper in our locked containers in our video monitored and secured office

  4. If brought in before 4 PM, all drop-off paper is typically shredded the same day as our shredding trucks return from servicing clients. While we make every effort to complete shredding that day, same-day processing cannot be guaranteed. Any materials brought in after 4 PM will remain secured in locked containers within our video-monitored office until being shredded the next business day.

    Please note, for security and safety reasons, we do not offer witness shredding at our office location. This is due to multiple factors, including the handling of materials from numerous drop-off customers and the need to maintain a secure and controlled process. In addition, our industrial work environment requires us to ensure the safety of both staff and visitors. For these reasons - and others related to maintaining security and operational efficiency - witness shredding is not permitted.

PRE-PAID SHREDDING SERVICE

Pre-paying for shredding is easy, convenient, and we even provide one of our bags* for you to use!  These bags are a convenient place for paper materials ready for shredding and can hold upwards of 55 pounds.  Simply bring our bags back at a future date and time that works for you, we empty them into our secured carts in the office at no additional charge.   You can even purchase the service again if you need.

* The bags themselves remain the property of Valley Green Shredding and are provided as a dedicated container to collect your paper materials.  The rate for the bag is solely pre-payment for the service.  Once a full bag is returned, you have the option to purchase the service again.

HARD DRIVE & SOLID-STATE DRIVE DESTRUCTION

Dispose of your non-functional computer hard drives securely and conveniently at our office. Bring us your pre-removed drives, and we'll destroy them while you wait. Our certified process ensures data privacy and protection without the need for hazardous methods like drilling or smashing. We can destroy up to 2 hard drives in less than 5 seconds using specialized equipment. Trust us for quick, reliable, and environmentally responsible hard drive disposal..

No minimum charge and no tax for the service!  Cash discounts available! We accept all major credit cards, cash, or business checks**.

  • Paper documents:  60¢ per pound (discounted to 50¢ per pound if paid by cash or business check)

  • Computer hard drives and solid-state drives:  $11.50 each (discounted to $10 if paid by cash or business check)

  • Pre-paid shredding bags:  $25 each​

**Please note: only business checks accepted.  $40 charge for any cancelled or returned checks.

At Valley Green Shredding, we prioritize security and professionalism. All staff members undergo comprehensive background checks, which are re-verified annually, ensuring they are fully cleared to handle sensitive information.

Important Notes About Drop-Off Shredding:

  • Drop-off services are not NAID AAA Certified though meet the same standards.

  • A Certificate of Destruction is not provided for drop-off shredding.
